Women's Equality Day 2026: A Celebration Of Community Leadership
Honoring women's civic leadership
The League of Women Voters of Larimer County marked Women's Equality Day this August with an evening honoring women who have devoted themselves to civic life in our community — and raised more than $22,000 to fuel the League's work in the year ahead.
This year's celebration recognized three outstanding honorees: Pat Griego, Arpi Miller, and Lynn Young. Each was celebrated for the distinct ways they have advanced civic engagement and community leadership in Larimer County, embodying the spirit of Women's Equality Day and the League's ongoing mission of empowering voters and defending democracy.
Guests gathered for an evening of connection, conversation, and celebration, coming together in support of the League's nonpartisan mission. The generosity of everyone who attended, sponsored, and contributed made this year's event a resounding success — the funds raised will directly support League activities throughout the coming year, from candidate forums and voter registration drives to civic education programs and advocacy efforts across the county.
This event caps off a year of significant achievement for the League. Our 2025–2026 Annual Report details the full scope of that work — including seven candidate forums reaching thousands of voters, a first-in-Colorado eBook voter guide, 49 voter registration events, and active advocacy on privacy, health care, housing, and environmental issues across Larimer County. We invite members and friends of the League to read the full report to see the impact your support makes possible.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Women's Equality Day 2026, and to Pat, Arpi, and Lynn for their continued leadership and service to our community.
