Information about February's book club selection:
Soil: The Story of a Black Mother's Garden
is written by Fort Collins Author and CSU Professor Camille Dungy and recounts her work to bring variety and diversity to her garden. She uses the plants, herbs, vegetables, flowers, and animals of her garden as a metaphor and treatise for how homogeneity threatens the future of our planet, and why cultivating diverse and intersectional language in our national discourse about the environment is the best means of protecting it. Along the way, she reflects on identity, motherhood, race, religion, climate, systems, and more.
